Kevin Stuart Smith is a Television News Cameraman, Video Editor, Photojournalist and Graphic Designer based in Cape Town, South Africa. He has been working as a Graphic Designer for the print and electronic media for the past 4 years but is primarily a Videojournalist and Photojournalist and this site is a showpiece of photojournalistic work combined with frames grabbed from video news clips. All the photographs included in this portfolio were taken while simultaneously covering TV News assignments on Betacam in Mozambique, Angola, Malawi and throughout Southern Africa, including the political and labour unrest of 1986.

    Johannesburg, Film Camera Assistant and Television News Cameraman.
    (Betacam SP, working as a one-man crew, sound and lighting, with  plenty
        editing and aerial experience.)

* 1990-1994  Freelanced as Television News Cameraman for SABC, ATN (Africa
    Television News), K4 TV NEWS and Reuters Television. (Johannesburg)
* 1994-1995  Employed by The Graphics Group, Cape Town as Graphic Designer
    working on brochures, pamphlets and corporate identity.
* 1995-1996 Employed by Royal Promotions, Cape Town as Graphic Designer
        working on posters, pamphlets and general publicity material.
* 1996-1997 Employed by Jaywalk Interactive, Cape Town as Graphic Designer
        doing graphic design for websites.
